7th Grade Texas History
Background:
Mr. Arredondo was born and raised here in Brownsville. He attended Valley Christian High School, then continued is education at Texas Southmost College and the University of Texas at Brownsville. Currently Mr. Arredondo holds a bachelor’s degree in Arts and Sciences in Applied Business Technology. Before becoming a teacher, Mr. Arredondo worked as a police officer for the Town of South Padre Island. When Mr. Arredondo is not teaching, he enjoys 80’s rock music, reading, swimming, road cycling, motorcycle riding, and most important, spending time with his family.
About teaching:
A successful U.S. History class inspires students to learn more. With that in mind, I try to focus on building the skills and passions for learning history above the memorization of facts. Nothing pleases me more than when a student says, “History classes can be boring, but your class isn’t!”
As I begin my ninth year of teaching with great enthusiasm, I’m also looking forward to another academically successful year at Stell Midddle School.
